Happy Birthday To Me | An Experiential Year | Chelsea Fore

Day one of year 27.

You wouldn’t know by just looking at me, that some time earlier this year I wasn’t sure if I’d make it to another birthday.

Vague. I know. But that’s another post on another day.

I woke up this morning, October 15th, just happy to be here. No matter the gifts, or the cake, or even the celebration was a spec of importance to me. When my eyes opened and I took a deep breath, rolled over to see my husband and our beautiful youngest boy in between us, I realized I did it. I made it to 27.

I prayed for this day, and God delivered. But doesn’t he always? Did I really doubt that he wouldn’t come through for me?

At the beginning of this journey I’ve been on for several months, I did doubt it. I’ve had soo many unexplainable feelings and mixed emotions; that no matter the amount of time or even carefully thought out words could I use to explain them to you.

When I see or come across other people that have been in my shoes, just a look in their eyes, i feel instantly connected. An unbreakable bond that only first hand experience unites us, and we understand each other in an intimate and personal level. Without even needing to compare stories or situations; it goes without saying that it’s been hard.

Perserverance, prayer, grace, and loads of faith have all been my medicine. And I try my best to preach it to others.

I’ve grown alot deep within me. Before when I questioned who I was and what did I really want. I know now, and it’s simplicity.

What I once thought was important doesn’t matter to me now and only experience has changed me. Not one or all materialistic things can replace the blessing of just being present and here every new day.

I’m nobody special, but then again I am. I’m a child of God, saved by Jesus, and I beat the odds.

I know this isn’t a typical post of mine, I try to keep it light and upbeat, but I can’t help but reflect on this past year of my life and share this tidbit with you.

I hope to share my testimony with you one day, but that’s something I don’t quite have the courage to do just yet.

… or atleast I don’t think so.

Honestly, I’m just happy to be here! Happy Birthday to Me!

Until next time,

Spiced Pumpkin Bread |Chelsea Fore

Helllooo Autumn!

And all of you wonderful people too, of course!

It’s finally here! The first day of Autumn! Woohoo!

I know, I know… Chill Chelsea, you’ve only been talking about it for forever now. Lol.

BUT y’all!! The obsession is REAL!

And I have something very Autumnal for you today, AND I’m really encouraging you to try it!!

This Spiced Pumpkin Bread recipe is from Pinterest but the true credit is due to Jen Segal at Once Upon a Chef.

This turned out soo good! It was my very first time making pumpkin bread and now I can mark it off of my Fall Food Bucket List! Woohoo! This was SUCH a hit that I will probably be making it a few more times through out this season.

The ONLY thing I switched up in the Recipe was that instead of baking it in my oven, I used my Oster Bread Maker!

Spiced Pumpkin Bread (3)

Now that your craving pumpkin bread now, let’s get started!

2 Cups All-Purpose Flour

1/2 tsp. Baking Powder

1 tsp. Baking Soda

1 tsp. Cinnamon

1 tsp. Ground Cloves

1 tsp. Ground Nutmeg

1/2 tsp. Salt

2 Cups Sugar

1 1/2 Sticks of Butter, Unsalted (softened)

2 Large Eggs

1 15-ounce Can of 100% Pure Pumpkin

First, in a large bowl, whisk together Flour, Baking Powder, Baking Soda, Cinnamon, Ground Cloves, Ground Nutmeg, and Salt.

Then in a separate bowl, using a hand mixer, beat sugar and butter together.

Next add one egg beat well, and then add the second egg and beat it in until fluffy.

After that, add the whole can of pumpkin and beat it in until it’s mixed well! By now it’s starting to smell really good!!

Then add the previously mixed dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. You’ll want to mix it on low speed just enough to combine the two but don’t over beat it!

It should look like the picture below. Then I sprayed a very light coat of non-stick spray in my bread pan.

It took all my will power to not dip my finger in that beautiful batter! lol It just smelled sooo good! Next, transfer your batter into the bread pan. The recipe calls for two loaf pans when baking it in the oven, but since I’m using my bread machine, I put it all into my one pan.

The recipe called for 65-75 minutes in a pre-heated 325 degree oven. It took 2 hours on the bake setting for my bread machine! Just check your loaf or loaves with a cake tester or tooth pick. I actually used a kabob stick because my loaf was very large.

And that’s it!! Super duper easy! And boy was it just absolutely delicious! It was quite a large loaf so I sliced mine up and froze half the loaf for later!

Thank you guys for stopping by! I hope you try out this recipe and if you do, please let me know down in the comments! I’d love to hear what you think of it!

Fall Into Autumn With These 6 Tips | Chelsea Fore

Falling Into Autumn

Hey There Lovely’s,

If my Fall Bucket List and my Fall Food Bucket List hasn’t gotten you amped up for Autumn just yet, then keep on reading! Today I’m going to share some easy tips to help you transition right on into Fall!

These 6 tips will flip you out of Summer and right into Autumn with me! Fall is right around the corner, literally 4 days away (what?!), sooo let’s get started!

Spice Up Your Coffee or Tea

Adding a Dash of Pumpkin Pie Spice or Cinnamon to your coffee grounds is pretty much life changing, and a very simple way to achieve Fall vibes! Not only will your house smell amazing but you also get an awesome cup of coffee right at home! You can customize it to your liking. I prefer mine with a vanilla creamer or vanilla almond milk and a spoon of sugar! A Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte, very easily achievable. And don’t be afraid to add it to warm tea too! Although I suggest adding just a tiny amount to freshly brewed hot tea, it makes for easier mixing!

Everyone’s Favorite, Fall Scented Candles

Since we’re already talking about smells, let’s go ahead and add Candles here, lol! You knew it was coming! Because it really is an EASY way to make your surrounding feel more like Fall! Something about a flickering flame and cozy scents really pull the atmosphere together. I love anything like Better Homes & Gardens Spicey Cinnamon Stick Candle and Glade’s Cashmere Woods! If you want to be extra Bath & Body Works have diffusers for your car! And you know any scent they carry is pretty much delicious!

Switching Summer Clothes For Winter Clothes

Even though it’s still a little hot here in Texas to wear sweaters and thermals, and jackets, and so on… I went ahead and pulled my warmer gear out of storage. We know the cold fronts are coming so might as well be prepared! Since I don’t have near enough storage for my whole wardrobe, I put many many summer things away back in storage, and of course I’ll switch everything back when Spring rolls around. If you don’t know where to really start, I suggest putting away sun dresses, swim suits, sandals, short shorts and other summery things. And pull out your beanies, scarves, hoodies, boots, and leggings. Obviously your bigger coats too, but hey we’re just “slowly” transitioning here!

Putting Fall Plans Into Action

I’m currently working on this one! I know my small town will have a pumpkin sale at our courthouse and I want to go on THE VERY FIRST DAY it opens!! Their selection is fairly small and the good pumpkins go very fast! SO, I’m planning ahead and were getting excited. Also, currently trying to find my boys Halloween costumes. They still haven’t quite decided what they want to be, but hopefully we can get them ASAP and not have to worry about finding something in the over-picked sections at Wal-Mart. And you probably won’t even believe this, but I’m also trying to plan our Thanksgiving. My husband and I both have large families and holidays are always crazy! Lots of places to be and lots of family to see!

Pin About It!

Okay, this one is more for me! Lol! I’m sure you’re not near as obsessed with Pinterest as much as I am. But if I really need some inspiration or motivation, I go and make a board and start pinning to it! It really encourages me and gets me really excited to see stuff come together. And then all season, I can go back to that board and get more inspiration. And as I get new ideas or see new things on Pinterest, I’ll just pin some more!

Transition Your Decor

This tip can be as easy or as hard as you want it to be! For me, I keep it simple! I’m hoping to do a “Fall Decor Haul” for my YouTube but I may not. So far I’ve only purchased a few “Fall” hand towels, “Fall” candles, mini white pumpkins, and mini orange pumpkins, couple of bunches of “Fall” faux flowers and I think that’s it.. I’ll probably purchase some specific Halloween decorations next, and then when that holiday is over, I’ll go back to buying some more “Fall” decor for Thanksgiving.

So I know this post is lengthy, but I hope you enjoyed it! Do you have any tips on “Falling into Autumn”?? Let me know down below! I would love to hear from you!

Thanks for hanging out today and I’ll see you in my next one!!

Make Up For Ever Artist Face Color Palette Review| Influenster VoxBox |Chelsea Fore

Hey Sweet Friends!

This review is looong overdue but I couldn’t fathom the idea of not sharing it with you all!

8.13.17 041

I LOVE makeup! Like legit, head-over-heels LOVE makeup. So when I found out I was getting the Make Up For Ever Artist Face Color Palette totally free, I was shook!

I literally thought, yeah right?! No Way! But sure enough it came in the mail in it’s little black Influenster VoxBox!

Girl, I started swatching it immediately, because honestly.. why not! lol

8.13.17 050

As you can see, it came with 3 different shades that I did NOT choose, but Influenster and Make Up For Ever did great at picking the right ones for me!

It came with a highlight shade, sculpt shade, and a blush shade.

The Blush shade is my favorite of the 3. And it lasts much longer than any other blush I’ve ever used. It has easily become my go-to blush as I reach for it every day!

The Highlight shade “WAS” my 2nd favorite of the 3, but not so much anymore. I do love it, but I find that it wears off pretty quickly. It’s also a tad bit “speckly” not sparkly but speckly. Kind of a chunky highlight but I really don’t mind it. I just wish it lasted longer, instead I’m still reaching for my e.l.f. baked highlighter in “Moonlight Pearls”. I’m still obsessed with that one.

And the 3rd shade, that I initially was a little disappointed in, actually really surprised me! When I first saw it, I thought “Great, it’s red tinted.. I’ll never sculpt, contour, or even bronze with a red tinted powder.”

BUT it totally fooled me! I really really like it! I can use it to contour or I can use it all over to bronze a little. And it’s going to be a great blush when we get a little more into fall and winter!! I can’t wait!

practice closeup shots 020

Here’s a WAYY too close picture of my face so you can see the 3 shades. The Blush and Sculpt powder blended nicely together and the Highlight provided just “enough” glow but not as much as I’d like. The highlight shade is also on my brow bone and inner corner. I hope this picture can show you how it looks speckly to me and not glittery lol.

I am soo thankful to have received this palette totally free from Influenster. I had never tried a Make Up For Ever product and now I can say that I am a fan! I hope to buy a few more shades to swap out in the magnetic interchangeable palette. I know there’s 30 plus shades to choose from, so there is definitely a wide variety to accommodate all skin tones and shades.

practice closeup shots 015

This palette definitely goes into my FAVORITES OF THE YEAR group! Which is pictured above. I’m sure I’ll add a few more products by the end of the year, but maybe not… lol I am a little picky!

If you’re interested in receiving free products in return for your review, Influenster is a great place to start.

Here’s my link for Influenster

I receive 5 points towards my impact score if you use my link. And I would soo appreciate it! I believe the higher your impact score the better chances of receiving free products.

If you have ever used a Make Up For Ever product or even the same one shown, let me know in the comments below! I would love to know what you think of their products! I know I’m a fan and can’t wait to add to my collection!

Thanks for hanging out, it means the world to me!

And I’ll see you in my next one!

Happy Labor Day Sweet Friends!

But I couldn’t be more excited. I live for EVERYTHING Fall!

It’s my favorite Season and all the wonderful fall things that go along with it!

The cold fronts and longer nights, warmer clothes and boots for every outfit, and of course my 3 favorite holidays back to back (Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas of course).

Oh boy I can’t wait for the holidays!! I have soo many ideas that I can’t wait to share!

But Anyways… I wanted to say Thank You to everyone that entered my giveaway! It is closed now and the 2 winners have been notified! I honestly can’t believe how many of you took the time to enter and it means soo much to me!

I hope I can reach another milestone so we can celebrate with another giveaway!

Now that my giveaway is over, you may see some subtle changes across my social medias and this blog. Probably nothing major but I wanted to really make everything cohesive and flow from one to another.

The last couple of months I’ve been doing a lot for my blog (majority behind the scenes) and it has me second guessing quite a few things. So I really hope to improve them here pretty soon, and I also hope to get my posts and videos on an actual schedule.

With two of my three boys in school, I have soo much more time on my hands that I think I can manage a schedule now. I hope lol.

Either way, thank you all again for entering my giveaway! It was really awesome seeing everything come together! I can’t wait to host another!

Please let me know if there are any posts that you’re missing from me?? I have a few OOTD posts lined up but other than that I’m a blank slate. Looks like I’ll be brainstorming tonight! Lol!

Thanks for hanging out!!

Grocery Haul + Shop with ME! |Chelsea Fore

Untitled design

Today I have a grocery haul for you all!

Hopefully, you like grocery hauls as much as I do, lol! Or you won’t be too excited for this post!

Being only 2 weeks (YIKES) from the first day back to school, I have been “momming” things up around here! What I mean is, trying to get back to a normal routine and doing all the mommy things.

Trying to get the kiddos back on a nightly routine, getting dinner cooked before 8 or 9pm, de-cluttering every inch in my house (which I still have TONS to do), finishing some house projects, (so we can start more lol), AND trying to get my grocery budget and meal plans back on track!

So a lot has been going on but it’s nothing that the good lord doesn’t think we can handle.

Just about all summer, I haven’t tracked my grocery budget, and we have not been eating the healthiest. You could say we all enjoyed Summer Break just a little too much.

But I am certainly getting things back on track! And I have soo many plans for my blog and youtube, I just can’t wait to share everything with you!

Anyways… back to the grocery haul. ( I am the best at getting off topic).

I went shopping at my small local grocery store a couple days ago, which I don’t usually shop at too often (I’m a Walmart girl) but I needed a few things to complete my meal plans out for the next week to two weeks.

I’m just trying get by with majority of what we have in the pantry and freezer, using up as much of it as I can, and hopefully purchasing just filler and staple items.

Next month, I am planning on doing my LARGE grocery hauls, where I only have to shop maybe 2-3 times the WHOLE month! Fingers crossed it works out because that makes things soo much easier for me!

So anyways, I don’t have pictures to share with you, because I didn’t take any. (Also because I found my cameras battery charger the day after I went shopping.) But instead, I filmed/vlogged my shopping trip and haul. I will link it below if you are interested in watching it. The picture quality is not the best, but I am pretty proud of my editing skills.

I also wanted to quickly give you a glimpse at our meals for the next week or two. I don’t have any sort of system that I follow.

I just try to use what I have on hand and buy the extra things I need to complete the meals, if necessary.

I don’t do a specific meal for a specific day. I basically look at my list, which is similar to what you see below, and I pick whichever meal I’m feeling at that time! Soo organized, I know! lol

Breakfast: Served with fruit and/or yogurt

  • Pancakes or waffles
  • French Toast
  • Cereal
  • Eggs and Bacon
  • Omelettes
  • Oatmeal

Lunches: Served with fruit, veggies, crackers and/or cheese

  • Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
  • Sandwiches
  • Hot Dogs
  • Mac and Cheese
  • Quesadillas

Dinner: Served with side or veggies, salad, potatoes, and/or rice

  • Tacos
  • Spaghetti
  • Mexican Style Pork Chops
  • Baked Chicken
  • Shrimp Alfredo
  • Steak

Thats about as basic as it gets, oh and sometimes we have leftovers and we will eat that or i’ll turn the leftovers into a totally different meal. For example if I have any chicken left over from a baked Chicken night, I’ll save it and make Chicken quesadillas for lunch the next day.

We just try not to waste any food and with 3 growing boys and my manly husband we really don’t waste much.. AT ALL!

So that about wraps it all up. I hope you guys enjoyed my grocery haul. If you watched my video please leave me a comment below and let me know what you thought about it!

Also, my giveaway is still going on!!! Check out this post! It ends on August 25th so Please Enter!!

Have a great week friends! See you in my next one!

FINALLY! My Big Giveaway!! |Chelsea Fore

Hi Everybody!

I hope to find you super happy and super excited today! Why?

Because I’m finally (FINALLY) doing my giveaway! I know, it’s about time!

I’ve only been talking about it for months!!

But it is here and I’m so so excited to be doing this! Because I love you all and genuinely want to give thanks for all the love and support you all have given me. The WordPress community is soo nice, helpful, and inspiring and I love being apart of it! This giveaway is in celebration of reaching 100 followers on my blog! Day 1 I thought it was probably impossible but here I am at 150 followers! You guys are awesome!

Anyways, let’s get on with the giveaway…

I’ve looked deep into all the dirty details on “how to host a giveaway”, and I’m choosing to do it my own way and then using a random generator to pick the winners. Yes I said WINNERS as in 2 people!!!

Since my following is still considered “small” (which is weird, because I feel like it’s very large) I’m not really going to abide by all the so called rules that others suggest.

Instead, I’m doing something called the “honor system” lol! As in, I trust you and you trust me. If you can’t follow the rules, you’ll be disqualified and probably banned from future giveaways.

So let’s go over the rules then:

  1. MUST be following my blog. (www.chelseafore.wordpress.com)
  2. MUST be following my YouTube. (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPRbtzox4cGhCJV7GB0kgjA)
  3. Gmail

And MUST be following my Instagram. (@mrsfore_ever)

  4. You don’t have to follow my Twitter but I use it a lot for announcements. (@ChelseaForeB)

So that’s it! That is all you HAVE to do to WIN! If you want bonus entries all you have to do is repost my giveaway pic on Instagram, tag me, use my giveaways hashtag, and comment done so I can check!

This giveaway is open to everyone worldwide, so please SHARE, SHARE, SHARE!!!

By now I’m sure you’re wondering when will it end and when will the winners be announced!

The start date is TODAY (8/3/2017) and ends Friday (8/25/2017). The winner will be announced probably the 25th or 26th!

So I think that’s everything. This is totally free! Not sponsored at all, I purchased everything myself and I will be paying to ship it out. But the winners address is required.

Okay, Let’s go over the Prizes!!

So a few months back, I told y’all that I was going to do a “Chelsea’s Makeup Bag” as the prize. Well I stuck with the theme for sure, but instead of picking only MY favorites, I picked a couple of my actual favorites and the other items I just tried to pick stuff that I thought would work with everyone. Because we’re not all the same, we know that lol! So I’m hoping there’s stuff in there that everyone can be excited about!

In the picture above, the 2 makeup bags are actually pencil pouches that I thought were too stinkin’ cute! They’re a good size and actually have a thin lining inside!

And in the pictures below these are the items inside each bag. Basically the same items, just some are in a different variation or shade. Everything is brand new unopened!

Each Bag Contains:

  • Miss Spa Sheet Mask (in either Brighten or Detoxify) *my pick*
  • Soo Ae My Collagen Hydrogel Lip Patch
  • e.l.f. Lip Exfoliator in Mint Maniac *my pick*
  • e.l.f. Blending Brush *my pick*
  • Hard Candy Eye shadow Palette (in Naturally Gorgeous or Pinking Of You)
  • e.l.f. Baked Highlighter in Moonlight Pearls *my pick*
  • Rimmel London Lipstick (in 120 You’re All Mine or 700 Naughty Nude)

Okay I think that’s everything… I hope! If you have any questions or if I confused you, please leave a comment down below! I hope you all participate and well..

May the odds be ever in your favor…

hahaha, I had to!!

Bye guys!!

Versatile Blogger Award |Chelsea Fore

Hello Sweet Friends!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Saturday! I know I sure did! Just a lazy day full of netflixs and wild children. No I really did get a couple things accomplished and actually filmed a smokey purple look. Definitely a more extreme night time look, at least for my taste. But it turned out nice and it was really fun to do.

Anyways, I had put this post off a couple times but luckily today I’m finding a minute to post it! Around 2 weeks ago Kittyp0p nominated me for the Versatile Blogger Award!! I am so excited and very appreciative of this award! This is my second award since I started my blog and you can read about the other one here!!
